PRC Participates in the United Way's Corporate Cup Challenge
At Performance Results Corporation (PRC), our employees have a strong commitment to giving back to the community - where we live and work. Our partnership with the United Way is just part of that commitment. We consistently meet, and often exceed, our United Way campaign goals making PRC a significant contributor to the United Way. The money PRC raises and events we participate in, along with the other 28 local chapter agencies, helps to provide a network of services that help our neighbors when time are tough.
On Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th, PRC participated in the first weekend of the United Way’s annual Corporate Cup Challenge, which to date, has raised more than $10,000. “It’s good interaction between local companies and it’s also a no-brainer for companies because it’s a good fundraiser for the United Way,” says Sean Sikora, PRC Assistant Program Manager/Assistant General Manager and United Way Corporate Cup Challenge Co-Chair. “The goal of the Corporate Cup Challenge is to have fun, raise money, and build company pride and morale,” continues Sikora.
During the first weekend of the event, the PRC Corporate Cup Team made a strong showing, placing first overall with a total of 85 points. Saturday’s events were held at Westwood Middle School and consisted of volleyball, running, table tennis, and basketball challenges.
PRC took first place in the table tennis event, represented by Daniel Haynes and Grant Bromhal. Following table tennis, PRC’s Drew Jackson, Shayne Naugle, Kara Glenn, and Jay Argabrite took first place in the running relay. Next, PRC’s Ronnie Lytle and Daniel Haynes competed in the three point shot competition finishing seventh, however, PRC’s Lytle shot an amazing 60%, tying him for first place in the individual competition. Saturday’s final event was volleyball. Competing for PRC was Heather Petrovich, Judy Ridenour, Kara Glenn, Drew Jackson, Shayne Naugle, and Jay Argabrite.
Day two of the challenge was held at Suburban Lanes where 19 teams faced off for a competitive game of bowling. The PRC bowling team placed third, cementing our first place Division I position. Bowling for PRC were Heather Petrovich, Adrienne VanVoorhis, Chris Roe, Fred Burnside, and Dave Berry. The final three events will take place on Saturday, June 20th at Liberatore Field in Morgantown starting at 9:00 a.m. Events schedule are: softball, horseshoes, and an awards ceremony. PRC Team Captain, Heather Petrovich invites everyone to stop by on the 20th to cheer the PRC Team on and help PRC win the team spirit award.
