PRC Awarded Army Contract
Performance Results Corporation (PRC), a Morgantown-based company, has been awarded a $3.5 million dollar contract to provide “technical and administrative support services” to the U.S. Army Research Laboratory’s Army Research Office (ARO), located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and in Washington, DC. The ARO represents a new customer in a new state for PRC. The contract, which began on July 1, encompasses a wide range of support including Mail and Distribution Services, Library Services, Accounting Services, Administrative and Logistical Services, and General Clerk Services. The ARO’s mission is to serve as the Army's premier extramural basic research agency in the engineering, physical, information, and life sciences--developing and exploiting innovative advances to ensure the Nation's technological superiority. Basic research proposals from educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and private industry are competitively selected and funded. The ARO research program consists principally of extramural academic research efforts consisting of single investigator efforts, university-affiliated research centers, and specially-tailored outreach programs . PRC, a woman-owned, SBA-certified 8(a) small disadvantaged business, is also a prime contractor at DOE’s National Energy Technology Laboratory, which has one of its five sites located in Morgantown. What began as a company with only three employees in April 2000 has grown to over 175 employees operating in eleven states and fourteen cities across the country, with nearly $15 million in revenue in 2008. The company’s core capabilities provide an indication of the extent of its significant growth and development since April 2000: Project Management, Strategic Planning and Management, Technical and Engineering Support, Information Technology, Facilities Services, and Administrative Support.
“Shayne Naugle, PRC’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, did an outstanding job on the proposal. We are very pleased to have been selected by the U.S. Army for this contract, and we look forward to providing high quality services and products to them for the next three years,” comments Brent Armstrong, PRC Executive Vice President and the Capture Manager for the ARO pursuit. Kathy Clinton, PRC’s Owner and President, adds: “This is a significant win for PRC, adding 16 new employees to the company’s rolls, and representing the first time we have worked for the U.S. Army as a prime contractor.”
