PRC Corporate Office Participates in National Take Your Dog to Work Day

On Wednesday, June 10th, the PRC corporate office held Take Your Dog to Work Day in support of Pet Sitters International, created to celebrate man’s best friend and to encourage their adoption from humane societies, shelters, and breed rescue clubs. The official event takes place June 26th throughout the US where thousands of businesses welcome their employee’s pets. PRC President and Owner Kathy J. Clinton encouraged PRC corporate employees to bring their dogs to work on and passed out bandanas embroidered with the PRC logo for all participating dogs. PRC corporate employees provided toys and made a donation to a local organization, Animal Friends, as a thank you for their participation. Clinton, an animal lover herself, brought her dogs Bentley, Bella, and Beasley to work to take part in the day’s fun. PRC’s Senior Financial Analyst, Barbara Higgins brought the idea to Kathy Clinton’s attention and organized the event. Some of the day’s activities included a “yappy hour luncheon” with homemade treats for humans and canines, a visit from Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia who delivered a presentation to PRC employees on the challenges faced by animal shelters today, and a visit from the Dominion Post who covered the day’s events in the paper. Other members of the PRC canine family in attendance were: Khloe Gandolfi, Heidi Wodnicki, and Brenda Lee Higgins. “It was a fun and informative day – one we hope to make an annual event here at PRC," said Higgins.
