Program Information Collection System (PICS)
PRC's PICS is a customizable web-based tool for implementing program and project processes to ensure schedule, time, and cost accountability. PICS is an independent one-stop-shop, initially developed to meet the intent of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Order 413.3A, "Program and Project Management for the Acquisition of Capital Assets" and ANSI/EIA 748, "Earned Value Management Systems."
PICS automates a program/project's budget life cycle from planning to execution; capturing all project dollars, reconciling, and providing an audit trail of all financial transactions. Data residing in PICS will support budget formulation, execution, and overall control. PICS can be customized to fit the specific needs and requirements of any operation. The system also has the capability to interface with other scheduling and cost management tools.
